1. Data We Do Not Collect
Vibe Inspector does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Browsing history or the URLs of pages you visit
- Page content, source code, or any data from the websites you audit
- Cookie values or consent signals from any website
- Personally identifiable information of any kind
- Your IP address or location data
2. How Audits Work (Client-Side Only)
All Vibe Inspector checks - AI builder fingerprinting, SEO audit, UX and legal checks, security signals, and consent banner detection - run entirely within your browser using the Chrome Extension APIs.
When you click the Vibe Inspector icon, the extension reads the current page's DOM, scripts, cookies, and HTTP response headers that your browser has already received. It then performs all analysis locally and displays results in the side panel. No data is sent to GetInlytics servers during this process.
3. Optional Domain Logging
Vibe Inspector may ask for your consent to log the domain name only (e.g. "example.com") of sites you scan. This is used to:
- Improve AI builder detection accuracy across the extension
- Identify which CMPs and consent patterns are most commonly missed
4. Local Storage
Vibe Inspector stores your extension preferences (such as the selected region and any optional logging consent) in chrome.storage.local. This data:
- Remains on your device only
- Contains only your preferences and settings
- Is never transmitted to GetInlytics
- Can be cleared by uninstalling the extension
5. Third Parties
Vibe Inspector does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It does not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any equivalent service inside the extension.
The extension has no background network activity when you are not actively using it.
