ConsentLens Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2026

ConsentLens is a Chrome extension by GetInlytics (a trade name of RCB Digital Solutions). This policy applies to the ConsentLens Chrome extension only.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

ConsentLens does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

  • Browsing history
  • Page content or URLs you visit
  • Cookie values from any website
  • Personally identifiable information of any kind

All consent signal analysis - Google Consent Mode detection, IAB TCF string reading, cookie classification, GPC signal checks - runs entirely within your browser. No data leaves your device during an audit.

2. License Activation (Pro Users Only)

When you activate a Pro license key, ConsentLens sends the following to our backend API (consentlens-backend hosted on Google Cloud Run):

  • Your license key
  • An anonymous device ID - a hash of your Chrome extension ID and browser user agent. This is not linked to any personal identity and cannot be used to identify you.
This data is used solely to verify your license and enforce the 2-device limit. It is not shared with any third parties. It is not used for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

Free users of ConsentLens make no network requests to GetInlytics servers. The license API is only called during Pro key activation and periodic key validation.

3. Local Storage

ConsentLens stores your Pro license status in chrome.storage.sync (your Chrome profile) so you do not need to re-enter your key on every use. This data:

  • Remains on your device (synced to your Chrome profile if Chrome sync is enabled)
  • Contains only your license key and activation status
  • Is never transmitted to GetInlytics except during the activation request described in section 2
